Sonja Fritts is a former attorney, whose journey of self-discovery and healing began 13 years ago through her own exploration as a seeker, seeking to find meaning, calm, inner harmony, and connection. And like all powerful, transformative journeys, Sonja’s began with struggle and hardship.
Sonja and her husband have four children, and in November 2009, when Sonja was pregnant with their fourth child, she nearly died from Swine Flu (H1N1). Six months later, after the elation of simply being alive dissipated, Sonja fell into a deep depression. It took her three years to crawl out of that depression, during which she tried everything – nutrition changes, yoga, therapy, and anti-depressants. But something was not quite right. Then, in 2014, she began studying with Dr. Astrid Pujari, MD, ABIHM, and began to learn about and explore the world of energy and energy medicine. Dr. Pujari provided Sonja with the last missing piece to the puzzle, and Sonja’s depression was gone.
Since then, her children, through their own mental health struggles, have become her incredibly powerful reflectors and teachers. And in seeking to better herself and to support her children, Sonja studied meditation and simple, research-based breathing techniques with HeartMath (becoming a certified HeartMath instructor in 2018) and travelled to India to study Hindu and Siddha meditation and chanting practices. She witnessed how these simple tools helped her to manage her own stress and improve communications in her legal practice at a national employment and labor law firm, Ogletree Deakins, representing large, demanding corporate clients. And in 2020, Sonja left her law firm to follow her passion to support others, especially youth, parents, teachers, and schools.
Sonja continued her path of self-discovery by working with Shamanic Practitioner Tina Bishai, studying emotional and mental mastery with Kerstin Schoen and EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) Tapping with Mary Sise, LCSW, DCEP, completing the Mary Magdalena Practitioner Program offered by Enlightened Master Her Holiness Sai Maa, and much more. Eventually, Sonja was able to identify her own stories, thought processes, and patterns, finding greater inner harmony and transforming her life.
Currently, Sonja is the owner of Heart Wholeness, LLC, dedicated to helping people create fulfilling and joyful lives by connecting to their own hearts, increasing their own ability to listen to their intuition, managing stress and overwhelm, and learning emotional and mental mastery. Sonja offers classes to youth and is currently creating programs for adults, with a focus on educators, to begin in 2023. The journey never ends, and Sonja continues to study, practice, and transform.
